About Romanihouse
Romani House is a specialist practice for language, interpreting and translation, focused on Romani varieties and Balkan languages. It builds on 20 years of hands-on experience with language assignments for public authorities, organisations and businesses in Sweden, Denmark and Norway.
The core of the practice is professional language services: on-site, telephone and video interpreting, qualified translation, careful language review and lectures on language and culture. Competence covers Romani varieties such as Arli, Gurbet, Lovari, Kalderash and Bugurdži as well as Macedonian and BKS. Every assignment receives the same care, from the single document to the long term project.
Alongside commissioned work, Romani House publishes and sells literature on Romani language, culture and the Balkans, and arranges music and cultural events. Language, literature and culture belong together, and that shapes everything that carries the name of the house.
