This cookie policy describes how Romanihouse uses cookies and similar technologies on romanihouse.com. The short version: our website sets no first-party cookies. Cart and login are stored locally in your browser (local storage), and we use no analytics or marketing cookies.
A cookie is a small text file stored on your computer, phone or other device when you visit a website. Cookies may be used to keep a user logged in, remember the cart, save settings or collect statistics. Similar technologies (such as the browser's local storage) can serve the same functions without technically being cookies.
Romanihouse sets no first-party cookies, neither strictly necessary, functional, statistical nor marketing cookies. We use no analytics tools (such as Google Analytics), no advertising or tracking services, and no video, map or social media embeds that set cookies. Instead, the following is stored locally in your own browser (local storage) so the shop works:
romanihouse-cart (shopping cart) remembers which products you placed in the cart. Kept until you clear your browser data. romanihouse-auth (login) remembers your logged-in user. Kept until you log out or clear your browser data. accessToken / refreshToken (login session) is used to keep you logged in against our servers. Kept until you log out, they expire, or you clear your browser data. This storage takes place only on your own device and is not sent to any third party. You may clear it at any time via your browser settings (see section 7). Note that this empties the cart and logs you out.
Language (Swedish/English) follows from the address (for example /sv/butik) and is not stored in cookies or local storage.
When you continue to payment you are sent to our payment provider Stripe. On Stripe's own pages, Stripe may use cookies or similar technologies required to execute or secure the payment. Such use is governed by Stripe's own terms and privacy policy, not by this policy.
Since we use no cookies requiring consent, there is currently no consent banner or cookie settings feature on the website. Should we introduce features requiring consent in the future (such as analytics tools), we will ask for your consent first (voluntary, specific and informed) and give you the option to change or withdraw it.
You may clear local storage and cookies at any time via your browser settings (usually under Privacy, History or Site data). Note that this empties the cart, logs you out and removes any local settings.

We update this policy if we introduce new features, start using new services, or if legislation changes. The current version is published on the website.
